External users

We have two types of options to enter the Central Bank's Library and use our collections and services, as an external private user or as an external user belonging to institutions with an interlibrary loan agreement.

Note: Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, access to the Library for external users is prohibited, until further notice.

 

- Opening hours for external users:

Tuesday to thursday from 09:30 am to 12:00 pm.

It is important to point out that it is not allowed to take the bibliographic material out of the Library except for having an Interlibrary Loan, and also to mention that our Library does not have a photocopy service.

Do not forget to carry your identity card or passport, as it is a requirement to enter the premises of the Central Bank.

External private user

Any person from outside the Central Bank who needs to consult information available in the Library may enter the Library's reading room. We recommend that before coming to the Library in person, you consult our online Catalog to find out the location and availability of the material of your interest.

 

You can consult the following collections in the room:

  • Books from the General Collection
  • Reference Collection (dictionaries and encyclopedias)
  • Journal and Review Collection
  • Historical Collection (only 1 volume at a time)

 

You can access the following services:

  • Bibliographic consultation in the room

  • Consultation of subscribed databases

  • Consultation of subscribed electronic journals and reviews

  • Access to the Library's WiFi network

External user belonging to institutions with an Interlibrary Loan agreement

If you belong to one of the institutions with an Interlibrary Loan agreement, you can enter the Library by presenting the following documentation:

 

  • Identity card and university or institutional credentials

  • Submit 2 printed copies of the inter-bank loan form provided by your institution.

 

You may also make use of our collections and services as a private external User.
